Volunteer in Slovakia: Help Us to Organize an International Event!

Do you want to spend 12 months in the capital of Slovakia and help with the organization of international event?

Who: 2 volunteers 18-30 years old from EU countries interested interested in organizing a big international event and working in the youth organization with a multicultural environment
Where: Bratislava, Slovakia
When: starting since March/April 2019  (12 months)
Costs covered by ESC grant: accomodation, food, pocket money, insurance, travel

About the project

The first part of the project (until September) you will be mostly helping organizing the world conference of IAEVG in September in Bratislava together with our partner, Career center ZKPRK  and also helping in the youth organization Mladiinfo Slovensko, in organising international projects for youth.

The ZKPRK associates and networks professionals working in the field of career guidance and career development,  supports training and professional development of all working in the field of career guidance and career development, raises awareness about career guidance and career development and supports improving access to career guidance and career counselling services of all citizens of any age and at any point throughout their lives, promotes interests of career guidance and career development.

Mladiifo Slovensko is the youth organization, which organizes local, national and international projects for young people, informs about learning opportunities for young people through media and events, coordinates foreign volunteers and sends Slovak volunteers abroad, educates students in Learn and Share.

The project is supported by European Solidarity Corps programme.

Activities

A volunteer will help with the following activities:

• Volunteers would be partially helping in the preparation of the world conference with an expected number of around 400 guests (international and local),
• Helping in Mladiinfo Slovensko office with organising the international events (exchanges, trainings, discussions, etc.),
• Helping with the promotion of Social Impact Award Slovakia (https://socialimpactaward.net/) for young social entrepreneurs,
• Organising workshops, seminars, intercultural nights for the students in Bratislava,
• Helping with the communication channels for the activities of Mladiinfo Slovensko (social media, job fairs, networking events, etc.) 

Requirements

• Be able to communicate (speak and write) in English language,
• Have the basics in ICT technologies (MS Office, Skype, Facebook, Google mail, etc.),
• Enjoying organizing,
• Creative mind,  
• Communicative,
• Responsible and independent.
